Established in 2015 to empower rural youth and enhance their employability, RE has evolved into one of the most impactful and reliable NGOs in rural Lebanon. Officially registered as a non-profit organization in 2017, RE has forged dynamic partnerships with reputable entities such as Unicef Lebanon, UNDP Lebanon, Berytech, Lebanese League for Women in Business (LLWB), IDAL, and Vitas. These collaborations have facilitated rapid growth and allowed the organization to diversify its programs and services swiftly, reaching and serving new groups such as rural women and vulnerable groups across various sectors.

Message From The Founder

Welcome to Rural Entrepreneurs (RE),

Growing up in rural Mount Lebanon, my early years offered little opportunity to explore my potential. Throughout school and college, I lacked significant hobbies and aspirations due to the absence of opportunities and a collaborative learning environment that enables individuals to flourish. This void fueled a deep desire to make a change and create a more enabling environment for others.

Later on, When I began my career and took on leadership roles, I met many young individuals from similar rural backgrounds and It became even more obvious to me that there was a significant knowledge gap in education, career prospects, and entrepreneurship, as well as a lack of awareness about essential topics like the future of work, community involvement, youth leadership, and sustainability. This realization further drove me to establish RE in 2015 as a volunteer-driven initiative; and since then, RE has grown to be a pioneering local initiative.

We have invested considerable time and effort in raising awareness, engaging communities, and collaborating with local authorities, educational institutions, the private sector, and key stakeholders to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem in rural areas.

With the support of partners and donors, RE has reserved a place among the leading organizations in the realms of rural development and entrepreneurship. Our motivated, and passionate team, along with a supportive board of entrepreneurs and community, sets us apart.
